The Challenges

Located in the heart of Pétion-Ville, Haiti, is this 138-room, 10-story hotel extending over 10000 m2, and Arcotec was one of the critical components of its construction. Our role, in partnership with Kay Consulting, was to construct the foundation and reinforced concrete shell of the hotel and handle the layout and earthworks for the construction alongside other contractors.

Construction commenced before the earthquake of January 2010 and paused due to the disaster. However, despite the seismic impact, the building in progress remained unaffected. Today, the structure still stands, and it received its international-level seal of design and construction compliance in Haiti.
